Concealed Pistol License (CPL) Information
Things to know:
Centralia Police Department can only process your CPL application if you live in the city-limits of Centralia. If you don't know if you live in city-limits or not, give us a call at 360-330-7680.
Centralia Police Department does not require an appointment to get your CPL.
If you live in city-limits, you may come in Monday-Friday between 8:00am and Noon or 2:00pm and 4:00pm. Bring your driver's license, payment and be aware we will be fingerprinting you for the purpose of a background investigation. We have applications available at the link below, or in-person. If you fill out your application at home, please do not sign it until you are here.
License Requirements:
You must be 21 years of age or older to get a CPL. You are required to have a CPL if you:
- Carry a pistol concealed on your person.
- Have a loaded pistol in your vehicle.
You won't qualify for a CPL if you:
- Have a revoked concealed pistol license.
- Are subject to a court order or injunction concerning the possession of firearms.
- Are free on bond or personal recognizance while awaiting trial, appeal or sentencing for a felony offense.
- Have an outstanding warrant for your arrest for a felony or misdemeanor.
- Were ordered to forfeit a firearm in the last 12 months.
- Were convicted of a felony. To restore your rights, contact the courts where your conviction is or the superior court closest to your home.
